Hawaii State FCU Announces Free Financial Education Offerings Available From January to March

HONOLULUHawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU) has released its schedule of free financial education webinars from January to March. The credit union aims to encourage the public to start off the new year on the right foot by staying on top of their finances and learning valuable tips from trusted financial experts. The webinars are available now for registration at HawaiiStateFCU.com/events.

“We are pleased to once again offer these free webinars to help our members and the community-at-large learn new financial wellness tips so they can feel confident about their finances,” said Andrew Rosen, president and CEO of Hawaii State FCU. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for everyone to learn more about how to stay financially fit in 2024.”

Led by expert financial educators from Hawaii State FCU, participants will engage in interactive lessons and learn valuable financial tips. The following free webinars have been scheduled in the new year:


Wednesday, January 17

10 – 11 a.m.
Understanding Your Credit Report & Score
Want to better understand your credit score? This webinar will provide an in-depth look at the factors impacting a credit score, how to build or improve a credit score, and debunk common credit myths.

12 – 1 p.m.
Affordable Lending Home Buyers Programs
Ideal for first-time home buyers and anyone who wants a refresher course on the home buying process, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Hawaii State FCU’s 100% Financing Program, State of Hawaii Mortgage Credit Certificate, City and County Down Payment Assistance, and more.

Reaching Your Financial Goals in 2024
The new year is the ideal time to set financial goals. In this informative session, attendees will learn how to set achievable goals, better understand financial habits, and how to navigate potential setbacks.

Your Money 101: Teaching Kids About Money
Learn ways to teach kids about finances and how to weave financial lessons into daily life. From parents, to educators, or anyone who works with children, this webinar will provide strategies on how to set young keiki up for a financially healthy future.

12 – 1 p.m.
Choosing the Right Mortgage for You
From first time home buyers to experienced investors, anyone who is curious about mortgage financing options will benefit from this webinar. Explore a range of mortgage options, learn more about a 2-1 buy down, and gain valuable knowledge to better navigate the real estate purchasing journey.
