Hawaii State FCU Announces Free Financial Education Webinars Available From April to June 2024

HONOLULUHawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU) has released its schedule of financial education webinars available from April to June 2024. Designed to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed financial decisions, the webinar series will cover a wide range of topics, including financial counseling and behaviors, spending cycles, and leveraging home equity. Hawaii State FCU’s webinars are free and open to the public, and available now for registration at HawaiiStateFCU.com/events.

This webinar will help attendees determine if financial counseling is the right fit for their needs. Learn how financial counseling works, its benefits, and what to expect when contacting a trusted financial advisor.

10 – 11 a.m.
Part 1 of 3 Financial Attitudes and Behaviors: Healthy vs. Unhealthy
This webinar, which kicks off a three-part series about financial attitudes and behaviors, outlines what poor financial habits look like. Get an in-depth look into what drives an unhealthy relationship with finances, and what categories could lead to severe financial troubles.

12 – 1 p.m.
The Perfect Time to Upgrade to Your Move-Up Home is Coming!
Perfect for those who are ready to upgrade their home, make room at home for parents or extended family, or want to upgrade and keep their home as a rental, this webinar will answer all the questions. Learn new strategies to upgrade to a larger home and explore more options rather than simply sell and buy.

Part 2 of 3 Financial Attitudes and Behaviors: How you Spend and Money Influencers
In this webinar, which is part two of a three-part series about financial behaviors, attendees will learn more about identifying financial habits and explore what factors can influence them. Break down what a Spending Cycle is and what behavioral and family influences are with money.

 

Wednesday, June 19

10 – 11 a.m.
Part 3 of 3 Financial Attitudes and Behaviors: Money and the Generational Differences
In the final installment of the three-part webinar series, attendees will take a deep dive into the six generational groups currently in the U.S. population and their key characteristics tied in the money attitude and mentality.

12 – 1 p.m.
Strategies to Leverage Your Home Equity
Anyone who is struggling with high interest loans or credit cards, whose HELOC matured to a high rate, or whose bills exceed their monthly income, will benefit from this webinar. Learn key strategies for bill consolidation using home equity and monthly bill management.
