HONOLULU —Hawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU), celebrated the grand opening today of its new state-of-the art Headquarters Branch located at 333 Queen St. in Downtown Honolulu. Today’s celebration marks the official completion of the credit union’s new headquarters as well as the closing of its former Main Branch located at 560 Halekauwila Street.
“After three years of construction, today’s event represents a major milestone for Hawaii State FCU as it marks the successful completion and opening of our new Downtown Honolulu headquarters. We look forward to having all of our employees together under one roof and sharing our new home with our members,” said Andrew Rosen, president and CEO of Hawaii State FCU. “Featuring innovative technology and a customer-centric design, our goal is to elevate the overall banking experience for everyone who steps foot into our new Headquarters Branch.”
The 4,300-square-foot Headquarters Branch features an open floor plan and offers a full range of products and financial services, including high-yield savings and checking accounts, mortgage loans, home equity lines of credit, and more. The branch is equipped with five Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) – a self-service banking option that gives customers the ability to independently complete up to 80% of transactions typically handled by a teller – member specialist stations for face-to-face consultations, four private offices, two conference rooms, and two touch tables for convenient access to virtual copies of product brochures and online learning modules.
Hawaii State FCU’s new 10-story headquarters building is designed to prioritize health, wellness, collaboration and innovation, and features 70,000 square-feet of office space, eight employee work floors, fitness center, privacy rooms for nursing mothers, rooftop gathering space, and more. The grand lobby, where the Headquarters Branch is conveniently located, is accented by a 112 square-foot living plant wall.
Hawaii State FCU purchased the former Melim building in July 2020 and underwent a multi-million dollar retrofit to consolidate more than 240 employees across multiple office locations, including its former Main Branch and headquarters of more than 40 years located at 560 Halekauwila Street, which officially closed on August 17, 2023.
“Members of Hawaii State FCU can expect a seamless transition from our former Main Branch to our new Headquarters Branch. All account information, including loans, deposits, and other financial services, have been automatically transferred to the new Headquarters Branch which will now serve as the primary hub for all member services and transactions,” added Rosen.
Hawaii State FCU’s Headquarters Branch is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
