2015 Investing in Education Grant Program
The Hawaii State Federal Credit Union recognizes and appreciates the extraordinary effort and sacrifice Hawaii’s public school teachers provide to our community. We know too, that many teachers use their personal money to pay for needed classroom supplies. Therefore, Hawaii State FCU offers the Investing in Education Grant Program to assist Hawaii's public school teachers obtain much needed supplies, books, furniture, electronics equipment and other basic necessities for their classrooms.
To apply for an Investing in Education grant, please fill out the application (see the link below) and submit an essay outlining your needs and how the grant will help you achieve your goals in the classroom. Grant funds for 2015 are available from August 1, 2015 through September 30, 2015. Essay submissions are limited to one per teacher, per calendar year. First-time recipients will have first priority. Submissions will be reviewed and awarded as they are received beginning on August 1, 2015 and continue until all 2015 program funds have been disbursed, or September 30, 2015, whichever comes first.
All essays must be postmarked no later than September 30, 2015 and mailed to:

Grant recipients will be selected based on their essay submissions and must be a Hawaii State FCU member. The dollar value of the grants will vary between $200 and $500 and will be determined individually based on the amount of funds requested on each essay. Essay winners will be notified by mail and grant money will be sent via check, made payable to the name of the school where the teacher works.
