Hawaii State FCU Welcomes New Kahului Branch Manager

KAHULUI, Hawaii — Hawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU) has hired Joe Chee Jr. as branch manager of its Kahului branch on Maui. Chee is responsible for overseeing branch operations, and ensuring exceptional member service for Hawaii State FCU’s more than 6,600 members on Maui.

Chee built his nearly 20-year career in financial services at local banks throughout the state, serving most recently as branch manager and assistant vice president at American Savings Bank in Wailuku. He has also served as branch manager at Territorial Savings Bank’s Kihei location and assistant branch manager at First Hawaiian Creditcorp in Kailua-Kona. Chee also worked at Primerica Financial Services in Kahului as a licensed principal broker, registered representative and regional vice president.

A graduate of Konawaena High School on the Big Island, Chee received his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Colorado, Leeds School of Business at Boulder, Colo. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Kahului and elder board member of Hope Chapel Maui.
