HONOLULU — Hawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU) announced today the hire of Vim Balantac as vice president, Mortgage Loan Origination (MLO) manager. As the Mortgage Loan Origination sales manager, Balantac will oversee a team of mortgage loan originators who assist members through the mortgage loan process, and coordinate the credit union’s efforts to close more purchase transactions.

“As Hawaii’s largest credit union lender, we are proud to add someone with Vim’s extraordinary experience and proven track record built during his 23 years in the mortgage industry,” said Victor Brock, Hawaii State FCU’s senior vice president of Consumer and Mortgage Lending. “Vim will be a valuable resource for members looking for a mortgage or to refinance their homes, and he will play a key role in helping us continue our strong growth.”

He was previously a principal broker at Aloha Pacific Premier Realty, an affiliate at Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Hawaii’s Shidler College of Business.
