The overwhelming generosity from our employees during our inaugural Burgers for a Cause event represents our commitment to stand with the Maui community as they rebuild.”
Hawaii State FCU’s Burgers for Cause event took place from July 12-19, 2024 at all 14 Hawaii State FCU branches on Oahu and Maui, and its call center. The campaign encouraged employees to make direct donations to the Salvation Army Maui while enjoying a complimentary hamburger. Additionally, the Hawaii State FCU headquarters hosted its own Burgers for a Cause event on July 3, 2024, in partnership with the local business Burgers on Bishop.
Through these collective efforts, Hawaii State FCU and its employees raised $25,000 for the Maui Salvation Army in July 2024, this included direct donations made by employees during the Burgers for a Cause event, a $10,000 donation from Hawaii State FCU and a $5,000 personal donation from Andrew Rosen, president and CEO of Hawaii State FCU.
