Hawaii News Now’s General Manager Rick Blangiardi Joins Hawaii State FCU Board of Directors
HONOLULU — Hawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU) announced that Hawaii News Now general manager Rick Blangiardi has joined its Board of Directors at the organization’s 80th annual member meeting on April 1. Blangiardi will serve a three-year term beginning this month, along with board members Terrence Aratani and Kaulana Park, who were re-elected for their second term.
Blangiardi is a broadcast industry veteran who joined the combined Hawaii News Now operation in 2009. He is a former University of Hawaii associate head football coach and past president of Na Koa, the University of Hawaii Football Booster Club. He also served as past president for the Aloha Council of the Boy Scouts of America and board chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, and serves on several nonprofit boards in the community.
Aratani is the CEO of Koolauloa Health Center and previously worked at the State Legislature for more than 25 years. Previously, he served as Hawaii State FCU board secretary and treasurer, and on the credit union’s nominating committee. He has been a Hawaii State FCU member for more than 35 years.
Park is a senior project manager at Rider Levett Bucknall. He previously worked at a number of financial institutions, including American Savings Bank, Bank of America Hawaii, First Hawaiian Bank and Wells Fargo. Park previously served as vice chairman and HR committee chair for Hawaii State FCU’s Board of Directors.
Blangiardi, Aratani and Park join returning board members Grant Tanimoto, Ryan Morita, Rochelle Lee Gregson and Marion Higa.
